About Wyld Sage

The Accidental Sage: Founder of Wyld Sage Wares

Early Years

Growing up as the middle child between two brothers and an older sister in a house perpetually scented with herbs and candlesmoke, Jason never quite fit the mold. While his older sister excelled in traditional spellcraft and his brothers showed early promise in potion-making and gemcrafting, he spent his days building elaborate forts and "enchanting" ordinary objects with imaginary powers. His mother - a respected green witch - and their next-door neighbor (a retired ceremonial witch who kept ravens) watched his childhood experiments with knowing smiles but never revealed why.

The Corporate Path

Convinced that his childhood dreams of becoming a wizard were just that - dreams - Jason pursued a sensible career in operations management. For fifteen years, he excelled at organizing supply chains and optimizing workflows, all while maintaining an ever-growing collection of occult books he could never quite bring himself to give up. His office desk always seemed to accumulate curious crystals and odd trinkets, and coworkers often remarked how equipment seemed to work better after he handled it.

What Jason didn't realize was that every spreadsheet he created had traces of organizational magic, every process he implemented carried whispers of efficiency enchantments, and every item he handled absorbed his unconscious gift for imbuing objects with practical magic.

The Awakening

The turning point came after a particularly disastrous attempt to start a side business selling "magical" office supplies - when his enchanted paperclips actually started linking important documents together of their own accord, and his "focus-enhancing" desk organizers began gently humming during productive work sessions. His older sister finally sat him down and explained that he'd been unconsciously working magic his entire life - just not in the way anyone expected.

Learning Through Mishaps

  • Once tried to enhance a coffee maker to brew "inspiration" - it produced drinks that caused people to speak in poetry for hours
  • Attempted to create a "lucky" business card holder that ended up attracting every stray cat in the neighborhood
  • Experimented with a "time-management" pocket watch that made meetings feel like they lasted days
  • Nearly flooded his apartment trying to enchant a "self-cleaning" mop

Wyld Sage Wares

Now embracing both his business acumen and magical abilities, Jason founded Wyld Sage Wares to create practical magical items for the modern practitioner. His unique background in operations helps him maintain quality control over magical items, while his tendency to learn things the hard way has given him an intimate understanding of how enchantments can go wonderfully (or hilariously) wrong.

"Every mistake is just an unexpected discovery. Sometimes those discoveries involve turning all your inventory invisible, but hey - that's how you learn!"
